The year is 2010, and sur­pris­ingly enough Adobe is set to release Cre­ative Suite CS5. It wasn’t too long ago that I decided to make the jump from CS2 to CS3, pri­mar­ily using Pho­to­shop as my most-used tool with my pho­tog­ra­phy work (aside from my actual cam­era of course)

What’s even more sur­pris­ing is that I’ve been doing this all on my G4 iBook 14″ lap­top which I freshly acquired back in 2004! Yes, it’s lived a lengthy life of 6 years already and I feel it could stag­ger on a bit longer but I know that it’s almost that time to invest in a brand new Mac. Every­thing is demand­ing more power and space these days with the emer­gence of photo & video, that it almost makes more sense to just splurge and spend the 2–3 thou­sand on a new Mac instead of a few hun­dred dol­lars each time on a new exter­nal HD (I think I’m on #5 now).

I ask Adobe, give me ONE good rea­son why I should upgrade to CS5 when I’ve been doing quite alright with what I’ve got? The answer:

Today I reunited with two peo­ple who I haven’t seen in a minute, one being Anna Carina (makeup artist extra­or­di­naire) and William (owner of Club Vida).  I didn’t know much going into the shoot as to what exactly was expected of me, all I really heard was ‘actor’ and ‘head­shots’ so I fig­ured it was sim­ple enough.

I actu­ally arrived first, and had a chance to catch up with Will and was quite impressed with all the changes that had taken place since I had last been there.

Most of the bam­boo look was gone, and the VIP sec­tion seemed to have taken a major over­haul as well.  I was a bit sad that the frame of red rose petals he had up on the wall was GONE, cause that piece was sick!  I was even more sur­prised to learn that they actu­ally made that piece and those petals were stuck directly onto the wall.. wow

Both Alex and Anna arrived shortly after I did, and Anna got right into it get­ting Alex all ready for the cam­era.  Mean­while I was scour­ing around, fig­ur­ing out my game plan, and had it set just in time

I showed him a few shots of what was going on and he was overly excited, which made me excited because his energy was quite con­ta­gious.  Happy with what he saw so far, we breezed through the looks and called it a day.

Before I left though I made sure I copped myself a ticket for that $41million dol­lar jack­pot.. <fin­gers crossed>

Alex invited me out to his movie pre­miere called Dead Gen­e­sis
