Game of Thrones (Season 1) ◊ The good thing about getting into this show right now is that it is only in its second season, but the bad thing about getting into this show right now is that it is only it its second season.  Because when you’re all caught up, you’ve got to wait each and every week for the new episode and boyyyy do I hate that, especially with shows that leave you hanging at the end of every episode.  With each episode being close to an hour long, you have yourself a medieval story involving kings, un-loyal patrons that want to be king, conniving queens, wutless royal children, bloody wars, cliques at every facet of the earth’s map and even some ‘extra’ stuff.

I was watching a bit of the behind the scenes, and it was interesting to hear how the books that this show was based off of, were written 20-odd years ago.  Or merely just the fact that this show actually was based off of something, somewhat like The Walking Dead, which shows that there actually is a story and an ending.

How hard it is to talk on the details of the show without spoiling the actual show for those that haven’t seen it yet, but if you are into swords and secrets, kingdoms and fantasy, then you will most enjoy almost every moment of this.  There were probably three times, when my jaw dropped and I was like “WHAT?!@ I did NOT see that coming!”, oh yes.  Twists and turns.  Hangers

Game of Thrones (Season 2 — Currently Running) ◊ I’ve watched up to the most recent episode, which at the time of me writing this entry is Episode 7.  Still no shortage of drama, as a few more twists occurred and the stories that were more black-and-white have had a bit more colour splashed upon them.  Oooooo, do I despise the little runt of a king tho.

I have been waiting impatiently for this, and the day has come.  After taking it all in, you just anticipate him releasing a full length LP and I will BUY that.  “Alone” was and still is one of my favourite cuts from this EP, but I have had “Holding on to Nothing” on repeat allllllllll day

Don’t miss out, this Saturday (May 12th) M&M is having a charity BBQ event from 10AM — 4PM.  Think of it like this, you’ll be donating money to charity, and feeding yourself at the same damn time!  Now what’s better than that?  I’m just wondering if I can just give ‘em a $10 and get 3 Burgers, 3 Chips and 3 Drinks.. otherwise, I’ll have to drive to a few different locations this Saturday afternoon.

Shameless (Seasons 1 & 2) ◊ So it would seem that I am a fan of quite a few shows that were originally made in the UK and then stolen and recreated by the US (number one example is The Office, oooooh yea), but will be first to admit I couldn’t even sit through an episode of the UK versions.  I definitely have to shout-out SJ for getting me on to to this show, she put me on this show as if she were the director herself.  But glad she did, as once again we strike TV gold with a show that is no stranger to drama each and every episode.

Cue in the Gallaghers.  A family so messed up, they make any TV family look like the Cosby’s and that is no exaggeration.  You have an alcoholic borderline deadbeat dad, who probably spends more time drunk then he does sober; a mother who wasn’t even made mention of until maybe near the end of Season 1?; 4 kids, one of whom (Fiona Gallagher) has taken onus to play both mom and dad to her siblings, doing everything in her power to keep them together, let alone keeping herself together.  And I can’t forget two of my favourite people, the bi-racial freaky next door neighbors Kevin and Veronica.  Sprinkle in some other oddball characters that you see throughout Season 1 and 2, and you have yourself a drama filled smorgasbord of entertainment.

Now that I’m all caught up, I’ve got to wait until Season 3 comes out… grrr, I hate that part.  Go watch it

Pretty sweet eh?  When I first caught sight of this, my first reaction was “I want that!”, so I followed the yellow brick digital road only to find out that this is merely a concept piece.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it actually came into fruition, seeing how big Instagram has become.. this would be sure to rake in some serious moula.  And the creators of this concept (ADR Studio) went all out and even did the specs and everything:

Clearly they thought this through, let’s just hope they copywritten this idea before someone with say in the company does something with it

Tank — This Is How I Feel (Deluxe Edition)
I don’t believe anybody is as underrated as Tank, he has consistently put out solid music for the past few years and yet you don’t hear many people even bring him up in discussion.  His last album was a classic, stacked with hit after hit after hit and of course you had to anticipate his next project.. and then alas, here comes this piece of greatness.  It’s easier to tell you which songs from the album I don’t care much for, because that’s how few they are compared to how many I have on repeat.  If you are looking to actually BUY a CD, I’d put my money up on this joint — you know what?  I think I just may go out and support this negro, cause he’s that dope.  Go cop this joint!
